The Sydenham Reptile Rescue Initiative (SRRI) is a conservation program under the St. Clair Region Conservation Foundation focused on protecting at risk reptiles in the Sydenham River watershed. Through science based fieldwork and community collaboration, SRRI helps recover endangered species, especially the Eastern Spiny Softshell Turtle, while building awareness and long term stewardship across the community.

About the project

For SRRI, conservation isn’t just a mission, it’s a calling and we wanted a brand that shows that. Our focus was on the Eastern Spiny Softshell Turtle, a species that deserves attention, and on helping the organization connect with the community and potential partners.


The brand identity is modern and approachable, using earthy colours to reflect the natural environment and a simple, contemporary logo inspired by the turtle itself. Every visual element highlights connection between people, wildlife, and the land while feeling grounded, optimistic, and authentic. The result is a brand that reflects SRRI’s passion, sparks curiosity, and invites long term partnerships while keeping the focus on what really matters, conservation that works and feels human.
